The dementia clock is designed to support independent living and more specifically people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, memory, or cognitive impairment. The dementia clock can be personalised to suit individual needs.

    This dementia clock is packed with features including optional WiFi connection to show live weather forecasts, temperature, and to display time accurately and change according to daylight savings time. Highlights of this dementia clock include:

    The dementia clock also includes a digital photobook to display photos from a USB, mini USB or SD card. However, the device doesn't handle the aspect ratio of photos well so they can appear stretched if photos are displayed in portrait.

    Can I write my own custom reminders with this dementia clock?

    The Dementia Clock with WiFi enables you select from preset medication reminders and preset reminder options.

    You cannot set your own unique reminders with the Dementia Clock with WiFi. If this is an important feature, please see our Robin Dementia Day Clock and our CARY Base Reminder Clock.

    Can the dementia clock be used without WiFi?

    Yes! Our dementia clock can be used without WiFi connection. Without WiFi, automatic updates such as live weather, temperature, and changes to daylight savings time will not be updated. However, you can choose a display option that does not show the weather or temperature outside. You can easily update the time when daylight savings comes in.
    Does the back-up battery need replacing?

    The back-up battery in the dementia clock does not need replacing. It is incorporated into the clock and recharges as needed.

    Miracle clock for seniors

    I can't recommend this clock highly enough! I bought the dementia clock for my husband's 80th birthday. He has early stage vascular dementia - he mostly has difficulty with words, but also has some memory loss and gets confused about a lot of things, including the day and time of day. So this clock is wonderful for him to orient him in time, but the photo function is the thing we both like best. I am organising photos onto thumb drives, from several trips to the UK 10 to 15 years ago, and we spend time each day remembering those times and talking about the photos. This is helping both his memory and his recall of the right words to discuss them. This also has the effect of engaging him in talking to other people - his language difficulties have made him avoid conversations and is very frustrating - and has lifted his depression considerably. We both look forward to watching these slide shows, and our relationship, which has been a bit strained recently, is improving every day.
    One suggestion I have for marketing purposes is to call this a seniors clock, rather than a dementia clock, as I would never have thought of getting a clock like this for myself - yet I get as much pleasure from it as my husband does, and I also love the "take your pills" alarms, as I am inclined to forget midday pills which are not in our pills organisers.

    Recently bought this one for my dad who has dementia. The medication alarms are easy to set. He still needs his pill box but there haven't been any left-over pills since. Was delivered within a few days, too.

    Big and clear display

    No missed medication

    I'm a carer in a nursing home. We got one clock first and ordered another three. It's essential for my patients to take their medicine and with this clock they haven't missed any. However, I wouldn't recommend this clock if you have to change the reminders on a daily basis. Takes a bit to set up because of all the reminder options but it's a great product!
