With a classic and modest design, the weighted cutlery set is a popular choice for people with unsteady hands due to Parkinson's, tremor challenges and arthritis. The extra weight dampens shaking for a more controlled movement while using cutlery and bringing food to the mouth. The thick handles reduce strain on the hands by decreasing the range of movement required to grasp and control the utensils.
The weighted cutlery comes in a convenient cotton carry case, perfect for taking to meals outside the home. The weighted cutlery set contains a weighted knife, fork, spoon, and soup spoon.

Adapted silverware with thick handles
Adapted silverware is most commonly made from stainless steel. Our weighted cutlery set has an ideal 18/10 stainless steel composition. The 18% chromium ensures protection from rust, and the 10% nickel helps the weighted cutlery maintain lustre.
Why 18/10 stainless steel ideal for cutlery?
18/10 stainless steel means that the stainless steel metal mix is composed of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. There are a couple of different reasons why someone would choose 18/10 cutlery over an inferior 18/8 or 18/0 mix.
Primarily, rust prevention. Chromium binds to the stainless steel surface and protects it from acids found in foods, chemicals, and sometimes water that can cause rusting. Nickel prevents corrosion while adding lustre and shine to the cutlery surface.
18/10 stainless steel for cutlery is an ideal ratio to ensure the greatest resistance to rust and the longest-held shine.
