Beyond the fantastic colour options, shower stool "Tom" is so versatile, even as a shower stool for small showers.

Because "Tom" looks so good, it can be used inside the shower, as a bathroom stool outside of the shower, as a garden stool, and even as spare stool when guests come over.

As a shower stool, the round and smooth design is comfortable to sit on and the gaps in the seat allow for water drainage while showering and when finished showering.

Shower stool "Tom" is a sturdy, high-quality and safe choice for general use as a shower stool. The height of 45cm allows feet to sit firmly on the ground.

Of course, it is always important to consider individual needs and abilities. Shower stool "Tom" is not the type of shower stool that you would find in a hospital, it's not suitable for limited mobility or post-surgery recovery. It does not offer the same level of stability that comes with shower stools that have integrated frames or back support.

The Shower Stool "Tom" is made in Europe by Siesta Exclusive. Siesta specialises in commercial and hospitality furniture. Their products are known for durability and their 5-year warranty. The Shower Stool "Tom" is of no exception. Rather than the typical plastic stool for a shower, "Tom" is made from high quality polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass.

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic that is resistant to heat and chemicals. It retains colour and can withstand exposure from the sun, to chlorine and detergents.

Fibreglass reinforcement enhances the strength and stiffness of the shower stool. Plastic shower stools lack this quality and are unable to safely hold a weight of up to 150kgs. Over time, plastic shower stools can become brittle.

Tom stool in taupe

I got the Tom stool in taupe. I am really happy with it; I like that it doesn’t look like a medical item but works just as effectively. It’s also very sturdy; I previously had a cheaper stool from Bunnings that was more plastic than metal and it broke and got mouldy quickly. The Tom stool’s design only having non-slip plastic stoppers on the feet means so long as I dry those thoroughly it won’t get mouldy. The stool is a tiny bit high for me at 5’4” but not uncomfortable by any means. Would definitely recommend for someone who needs a shower seat that is super high quality but doesn’t want an obvious sign of needing medical support in their home.
