Superior customer service compared to the bigger companies
A customer of mine required a specific toilet seat to be installed at home prior to their release from hospital. I had rung all the top listed companies on the internet. They all got back to me a day or 2 later and I was told there was a several week wait. I found The Independence Shop and left a message on their phone and was called back within 15 minutes. I couldn’t believe my luck, they had the seat I needed and it was in transit on its way to me within the hour. Their customer service far exceeds the larger companies. Will definitely use them again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a positive review! We are thrilled to hear that our customer service exceeded your expectations and that we were able to provide you with the specific toilet seat you needed in a timely manner. :) We look forward to assisting you again in the future. Thank you for choosing us!

Seniors like to deal with Australian companies.
I am 80 years old and a very strong supporter of Australian-owned companies.
I needed a special "Information Clock" for my wife who has short-term memory loss. I checked several websites and selected The Independence Shop as they are Australian and their presentation was good quality.
They sent follow-up emails and I thanked them for their information and their business style. I will deal with them if we need other seniors-helpers and refer our friends when they need them.
I wish Chris and Rosie best wishes for their future.
I purchased four products, each has proved good value, easy to use and three had no batteries to chase after.
What I also liked was this was a local business with personal delivery which was very prompt.
The Independence Shop staff (one in particular) are very helpful and go above and beyond to respond to online queries. Service fast and efficient, and goods despatched promptly. Well done, team!
We ordered our products for free local delivery, and couldn't be happier! They were delivered within the hour! I almost fell over! Plus great quality products for around the home and garden. Can definitely recommend The Independence Shop, especially for Bribie Islanders.
I had an excellent experience. They have a wide range of products for independent living. Very happy with their service and to support a small Aussie business :-) Will definitely purchase from them again!
Highly recommended. Found some great daily living aids and super gift ideas over the Xmas period from this online shop! My order arrived quickly and was well packaged.
Great service!! I purchased through www.theindependenceshop.com.au and they delivered locally to mum in Bellara within the hour! Happy with the seatbelt reacher and Handybar that we purchased for the car, quality Stander products. Can recommend buying daily living products from The Independence Shop.
It's really nice to know what's available to support my elderly mother. I've tried to find useful things previously and it's not easy from one reliable place.

Looked great, seemed like they would be perfect for my son who after chemo, has hand neuropathy, really bad.. I took them to him, he said just put them inside the door on the windowsill, I did, next visit I was informed, the dog had gotten them , tore the pack and demolished 4 of them.. the only survivor is working well ..
Thank you for your kind words, Cathy. We're glad the one left zipper pull is working well for your son. Sorry to hear about the mishap with the dog :( Wishing you both the best.
